About this topic

Science is often taught as a body of facts and is better understood as a set of procedures for being wrong less often. Controls exist because the human tendency to see a pattern is extremely strong. Blinding exists because expectation changes what people report. Peer review exists because the author is the person least able to spot the flaw.
